Excellent interview and information about La Joya de Mismaloya restaurant. I pass it all the time between Amapas and El Tuito. The view must be STUNNING and I've always wanted to stop while wondering if the restaurant was open to non-residents. Now I know!!!! Thanks! We loved this place last year! We just took a taxi there for lunch, as they are still listed as "open" all over the internet. They're closed and gone. 🙃

I stayed in this suite in February 2022. the patio beds are gone. outside furniture was a pass but needed update. the room was good though. Good enough for me to stay there again February 2023. Can't beat the location for the price. Great restaurants nearby.

Interesting podcast, we have a house in Bucerias, across Highway 200 in a Mexican neighbourhood, we love it and our neighbours are wonderful. The Gecko Band is one of our favourites, right now they touring in Canada mostly in Saskatchewan and they sell out most of their shows here. Pro tip: the App "inDriver" is now more widely used for taxi or Uber in Vallarta. I have found it a quicker and cheaper option.

Do yourself a favor and fill out the Mexican health questionnaire before landing. This will save you a lot of time when going through customs where hundreds of people crush together, frantically filling out the questionnaire before officials let you through to customs. Find it here, I think you can do it as soon as 12 hours before your flight arrival: www.vuelaseguro.com/login In addition, when you leave, and you get the 450 peso covid test at the airport, scan the QR code then, inside the terminal, for the return flight. I think this is part of the VeriFLY program(also a 12 hour window to fill it out).

Please stop discounting the lifesaving medical interventions necessary for saving lives. Your preventative measures week not necessarily stop you from getting covid but it will help your body build immunities to flu etc

As a 20 year visitor to this beautiful city I really appreciate how you highlight all of it's wonder. I am wondering though if you are getting tested every time you visit to make sure you are not carrying or sharing Coronavirus. I really love listening to you present my home away from home when I cannot be there.

The whole thing is one big fat lie. Covid is just cold and flu and the number of deaths just fits in with every other year.
